WCE Work & Life Event: Embracing Values-Based Leadership

On Thursday, September 12th, 2024, Maedeh Mirzaei, Junior Bridge Engineer at Spannovation Consulting, attended an inspiring event hosted by Women in Consulting Engineering (WCE) at Kiewit's Burnaby office. Debra Innes of High Impact Lab led the session, exploring the concept of values-based leadership and its crucial role in enhancing both personal and professional well-being.

This interactive workshop offered participants a chance to explore their core values and reflect on how these principles manifest in their daily work lives. Small group discussions encouraged open dialogues about maintaining integrity, especially when facing challenging environments where priorities may differ. Participants also examined their reactions to triggers and strategies for staying grounded in their values during difficult situations.
